Fayetteville will be getting a little funkier this weekend. Springfest began in 1983 by Dickson Street vendors as a way to celebrate the history and culture of Fayetteville. The festival features a pancake breakfast, live music, and the annual bed races where teams make their own racing beds and cruise them down Dickson Street. Here’s a list of events:
7 a.m. – Pancake Breakfast (Jose’s)
8 a.m. – 5K Run
10:30 a.m. – Dog Parade (Dickson Street)
11 a.m. – Easter Egg Hunt (Walton Arts Center Rose Garden)
1 p.m. – Bed Races (Dickson Street)
3:45 p.m. – Car Pull
6 p.m. – Pub Crawl (Various locations on Dickson Street)
