Two suspicious bags were left near the finish line of the Boston Marathon earlier this evening. A suspect is in custody and the bomb squad has detonated the backpacks. The marathon will take place April 19th. This year there is higher security due to the bombings of last year.
While the nation was mourning, Boston bombing suspect Dzhokar Tsarnaev has been sitting in a prison cell. He pled not guilty to all thirty charges in July of last year and in January the U-S Attorney General announced the government will be seeking the death penalty. Tsarnaev’s trial is scheduled for later this year in November.
