Fayetteville Police are cracking down on texting and driving as part of the national U Drive. U Text. U Pay. Campaign police are using a combination of traditional and innovative strategies to crack down on distracted drivers. States who applied were awarded $8 million in grants from the US Department of Transportation to support this and other campaigns designed to crack down on careless driving.
