The US Department of Labor announced that it will be giving the state of Arkansas a National Emergency Grant. The grant will help aid Arkansas clean up efforts after last December’s winter storm. The grant is worth more than $1.5 million and was awarded to the Arkansas Department of Workforce Services. The funds will be used to pay for temporary jobs that will help facilitate recovery efforts.
