Not only is Fayetteville receiving recognition for its compassion but its also getting praise for its drug abuse prevention. The Northwest Arkansas town, along with three other cities across the country, has won grants from the United States Conference of Mayors. The awards were given to cities that showed outstanding initiative in preventing prescription drug abuse, especially in young adults. Other grant winners include Philidelphia, Indianappolis, and Columbus, Indiana.
