The U of A board of trustees has accepted an audit report that included a 4-point-2-million-dollar deficit by the advancement division from the Fayetteville campus. The report from the Division of Legislative Audit says the advancement division hired 20 new fundraisers without having the money to pay them. Two administrators have been fired. Trustee John Goodson says this will result in a stricter financial control throughout the entire university system.
