The annual Northwest Arkansas Martin Luther King Jr. Day march and vigil will take place on January 20th in Fayetteville. The march begins at eleven-30 a-m starting at the Walton Arts Center parking lot on Dickson street. The NWA MLK Council organized the march for all community members. The City of Fayetteville will announce the MLK award for the employee who best channels the spirit and legacy of M-L-K. The vigil will begin at noon in the Arkansas Union Verizon Ballroom. Following the ceremony will be the 18th annual re-commitment Banquet at seven in the Fayetteville Town Center. More events honoring Martin Luther King Jr. will take place throughout next week.
