A seven-mile mishap had passengers on a Southwest Airlines jet a little shaken up. On Sunday, a jet holding 124 passengers mistakenly landed at a small airport in Taney County, Missouri, missing its intended target of the Branson Airport, by merely seven miles. The Taney County airport’s runway is almost half the size of Branson’s. The plane managed to stop with only 500 feet to spare, narrowly avoiding tumbling down an embankment and onto a highway. The two pilots have been placed on paid leave until an investigation is complete.
