Student Council members at Fayetteville high school hope to raise at least 20,000 dollars tonight at the annual Homeless Vigil. Each year student council members spend the night in makeshift homes and keep warm by lighting fires in barrels on the high school’s front lawn,. Fayetteville residents are then encouraged stop by and donate anything from money to non-perishable food items. The donations are used to help the district’s Families in Transition program. This is the 16th year this unique donation drive has taken place.
