The fluffiest member of the National Zoo now has a name!
The Smithsonian’s National Zoo in Washington D.C. pulled out all the stops for the naming ceremony of its 100 day old Panda cub yesterday afternoon.
More than 120,000 people cast their votes for the cub’s name online
Out of five options, the winning name is Bao Bao. The name means precious and treasure in Chinese. Bao Bao is pronounced bow-BOW.
The next step for baby Bao Bao will be when she makes her public debut sometime next year.
