Large Sinkhole Causes Trouble in Florida

sinkholeResidents in one Florida town are being evacuated from their homes after a sinkhole opened up early this morning.
The neighborhood affected is in Dunedin, which is about 20 miles from St. Petersburg, Florida.
Officials say the hole is 70 feet wide and more than 50 feet deep.
Sinkholes are common in Florida because the ground is made up of rocks such as limestone that store and help move water underground..
Over time, the rocks can dissolve and when the dirt gets too heavy, the ground will collapse.
