Help Finally Arriving for the Philippines

typhoon reliefMore than 2,000 people are dead as of this morning with more than 3,500 injured as a result of Super Typhoon Haiyan in the Eastern Philippines six days ago.
The typhoon brought winds three and a half times as strong as Hurricane Katrina, pushing in a wall of water that reached 15 feet high, washing away towns on many islands.
Humanitarian workers and military troops from around the world came together today racing against time to rescue and feed those devastated by the typhoon.
The arrival of the U-S-S George Washington today brought supplies to hard-to-reach areas and conducted search-and-rescue missions for those still holding on.
The U.S and U.K are among those with militaries taking part in the relief effort.
