The University of Arkansas Transit has added more routes onto the Red, Blue and Yellow bus routes, but with all the influx of students its still a problem.
The overcrowding on the Transit is causing students being left at the bus stop when trying to get. “The drivers are told to leave people at the bus if it’s full. It’s not the bus drivers fault, we’re doing the best we can.”
The University transit max number of people to be on the bus at one time is 76, and once that limit is met, the drivers can leave students at the bus stop. A lot of students say that the main problem of the overcrowding on the bus is from non-students, who don’t pay to get on the bus. However, Adam Waddell, Associate Director of the Razorback Transit that is incorrect.
“The Razorback transit is a local city transit. This is just like any other city with a transit, anyone can ride.”
