An arrest has been
made today after two dry ice bombs went off at the Los Angeles International airport. Dicarlo Bennett placed a bomb in a men’s restroom on Sunday, in terminal two, and then another on a tarmac outside the international terminal, on Monday.
Bennett is an employee for the ground handling company Servisair, and is believed to have taken the dry ice from a plane. Dry ice is used on flights by vendors to keep the food fresh.
The employee was booked for possession of a destructive device near an aircraft. Police have been reported saying that they don’t believe this was an act of terror because of the location of the bombs and that they weren’t targeted toward people.

It has been discovered that some of Bennett’s coworkers knew about the dry ice, but no other arrests have been made.  No one was injured in either explosion, although some flights were delayed on Sunday. Dicarlo Bennett’s bail has been placed at one million dollars.
