The statue of liberty is reopen for business. The national monument welcomed visitorsSunday for the first time since the government shutdown. New York governor Andrew Cuomo announced friday that the state had reached an agreement with the federal government for the state to pay for the park’s operations. That amounts to over 60 thousand dollars per day. Right now the agreement is only for six days–keeping the park open until this friday.
