Former Mayor Convicted

kwame-kilpatrick_jpg2A former Detroit mayor will serve 28 years in prison. Kwame Kilpatrick was convicted in March of 24 federal counts including racketeering, extortion, and filing false tax returns. Kilpatrick was the mayor of Detroit between 2002 and 2008. He was the biggest target of a year-long investigation that led to the convictions of two dozen people.
