Cheaper Concealed Carry Stopped in House

The Arkansas House voted against a bill to lower the cost of conceal carry gun licenses. House Bill 1329 would have cut the fee in half, from 100 dollars to 50. The cost for veterans or anyone over 60 would have been lowered to $25. The fee would have dropped to zero for those with a protective order against an abusive spouse. The proposal raised a lot of interest since concealed carry licensing is on a record pace for the Arkansas State Police. Lowering these fees was estimated to take nearly $1-million from the Arkansas State Police budget.
