A new plan has been unveiled which would send humans to Mars. The Inspiration Mars Foundation announced their plans to send 2 humans on a nearly year and a half journey to fly by the planet. The mission would begin in 2018. The foundation plans to send a married couple that are out of child bearing years because of the possibility of radiation. The group chose to begin the mission in 2018 because this is the closest to Earth Mars has ever been.
