The State House of Representatives has overridden a veto by Governor Mike Beebe that would ban most abortions after 20 weeks. Beebe vetoed the bill Tuesday, but the House voted 53-to-28 to override his veto. The bill would ban abortions at 20 weeks which is the point at which the bill claims a fetus can feel pain. It includes exceptions for rape, incest, and pregancies that endanger the mother’s life.
