Free Tax Filing in NWA

The Northwest Arkansas tax center prepares taxes and provides financial services for families with an income under $50,000 a year. For those families who fulfill this requirement and need these services there are four locations available:

Springdale:
Address: Jones Center, 922 East Emma Avenue.
Schedule: Wednesday through Friday 10am – 6pm Saturday 10am – 4pm

Bentonville:
Address: NWACC in the Center for Non-Profits, 1200 West Walnut St, Rogers.
Schedule: Friday 4pm – 8pm Saturday 10am – 4pm

University of Arkansas, Fayetteville:
Address: Walton College of Business, Room 301
Schedule: TBD

Legal Aid of Arkansas:
Address: 1200 Henryetta Street, Springdale
Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:30am – 12pm, 1pm – 5pm

The tax center asks that you bring all of the following with you:
* Proof of Identification (for example, driver’s license)
* Social Security Cards for you, your spouse, and dependents or ITIN letter
* Birth dates for you, your spouse, and dependents on the tax return
* Wage and earning statement(s) Form W-2, W-2G, 1099-R, 1099-Misc from all your jobs
*Interest and dividend statements from all your banks (Form 1099-INT and Form 1099-DIV)
* Mortgage statement from bank (Form 1098) if you own a home
* Real estate tax amount paid last year (possibly on Form 1098) if your own a home
* A copy of last year’s federal and state returns, if available
* Bank routing numbers and account numbers for direct deposit
* Daycare provider’s receipt with tax identifying number (Social Security Number or Employer Identification Number)
