BP to Plead Guilty

According to Attorney General Eric Holder, BP will plead guilty to corporate manslaughter charges stemming from the 2010 oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.
Along with pleading guilty to manslaughter, the company was ordered to pay $4.5 billion in government penalties.
$4 billion will be used to resolve all of the criminal charges and the rest of the money will go to the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Two of the highest ranking BP supervisors are also facing 23 criminal charges including seaman’s manslaughter.
This is the largest criminal fine on record.
Officials have six years to pay the money.
