The Pi Beta Phi Centennial Gate is complete after three years of planning and construction.
A ceremony Friday afternoon dedicated the monument in honor of the chapter’s 100-year anniversary on campus.
The Gate was built on Maple Street at the intersection of the former Campus Drive by Memorial Hall.
The project is part of the U of A’s existing beautification plan and was designed to create a formal entrance leading to Old Main and Vol Walker Hall.
The Gate is 120 feet long and 30 feet tall in the middle. It is built of limestone, native Arkansas stones and wrought iron.
