Enrollment at the U of A keeps rising. According to preliminary figures from the university, there is a 5.8 percent increase of students this year. Enrollment was up 1-thousand-138 students to a total of 24,537. Final enrollment numbers are due in mid-October. There are usually little changes between the numbers but they are rarely significant. Undergraduate enrollment is up to 20,349. This is the first time there have been over 20,000 students on campus. Chancellor David Gearhart says the totals reflect the university’s growing reputation.
