Fulbright College begins to prepare a year in advance for the upcoming school year. The unfinished construction has led to a few changes in classrooms, including a few laboratories scheduled for Sundays.
“We try to organize our classrooms so that we can use them efficiently which means we’ve expanded our times,” said Jeannine Durdik, Associate Dean for Research and Facilities in Fulbright College. “In some cases, we’re out of current space for doing things because we’re building.”
New faculty and graduate students have been brought in to teach the additional sections necessary for the increase in student enrollment.
“It takes us a while to recruit new graduate students,” said Durdik. “So we’ve tried to do that in advance and sometimes we have to scurry around at the end to get new people.
