Students will receive points to earn prizes and exclusive opportunities by attending selected campus events as part of the new RazorRewards program. The program, sponsored by the University of Arkansas and Razorback Athletics, in conjunction with the Associated Student Government, is designed to increase student involvement for academic and athletic events on campus.
“We are proud to play a part in bringing a new rewards program to University of Arkansas students,” Vice Chancellor and Director of Athletics Jeff Long said. “Student involvement and attendance at events is important to the success of our campus and to our athletic teams. RazorRewards is a great way for students to get involved, earn great prizes while cheering on the Razorbacks.”
Throughout the year, students can earn points by attending athletic events, lectures and other University sponsored programs. Prizes will be available to students at various point milestones with more valuable prizes available as students accrue more points. Prizes and special offers are available to students beginning at the collection of 10 points. Prizes include a one month membership to World Gym, backpacks, sunglasses, Razorback apparel and entry into drawings for a laptop, iPad or an exclusive lunch with the Chancellor, Athletic Director or Razorback coaches.
On Dec. 1, the top 100 point earners will receive priority on ordering student tickets for Arkansas’ football bowl game. At the end of the year, the student with the most points will win a grand prize. Prizes may be claimed in the ASG offices (room A669) in the Student Union. Students can earn five points simply by purchasing a student access pass for $65 through the Razorback Ticket Office. The student access pass allows admission to all University of Arkansas athletic events.
Three points will be allotted for attending home events for gymnastics, soccer, softball, volleyball and women’s basketball. Two points will be awarded for attendance at selected ASG sponsored events while one point will be awarded for attendance at football, men’s basketball and baseball games.
