Razorbacks Do It Again, Another National Title

The University of Arkansas Bass Fishing club took home the title of the Collegiate Bass Fishing National Championship in 2008. In 2010, the Razorbacks claimed the Bassmaster College Classic title. The Razorback 4-man team of Clay Ramey, Taylor Denniston, Jerid Jones and Turner Hall clinched the title in a huge way with nearly a 8-pound difference between them and 2nd place.

The scoring was topped off by a 21-pound, 9-ounce five-fish stringer that Clay Ramey and Taylor Denniston hauled in. Jones and Hall brought in a 14-pound, 9-ounce bag to put the tourney out of reach.

The Bass Fishing Team is a club sport and not sponsored by the University. To donate to the Bass Fishing Team to help pay for expenses, click here and type Bass Fishing Club in the ‘Other Specific Department of Program’ field.

This is yet another successful club sport at the University of Arkansas. The Ice Hockey team had an eighteen-game winning streak, to go along with their SEC and South Regional championship and appearance at Nationals.

Here are the final totals from Lake Hudson where the Razorbacks took home the title:
