Arkansas Defeats Troy in First Game of the Series VIDEO

Baseball Recap Video (with Head Coach Dave Van Horn and Andy Wilkins)

The Arkansas Razorback baseball team started off the game Friday down by one for the first three innings — but they didn’t let that get them down.  Arkansas defeated Troy 10 to 1 Friday evening.

The scoring was spread out with Andy Wilkins, James McCann and Brett Eibner having a home run apiece and Zack Cox and Tim Carver having two hits apiece.  TJ Forrest got the win over Troy out of the bullpen.

Arkansas is now 3-1 on the season while Troy drops to 3-2.

In the first inning Troy was about to get three hits including an RBI single courtesy of Chase Whitley to give Troy a 1-0 lead in the 1st inning.  Troy kept the lead for three innings until Andy Wilkins, in the fourth, soloed a homer to left center to even the score. That was home run number 29 of Wilkin’s career.  Later in the inning McCann hit a two-run shot to bring himself and Cox home- giving Arkansas a 3-1 lead.

In the sixth inning Brett Eibner hit his first home run of the season- a two-run shot into the Arkansas bullpen.
