Tiger Woods addressed the media [and by media I mean a few select people he chose] earlier today but gave no timetable for his return. He broke his silence by saying, “I am deeply sorry for the irresponsible and selfish behavior I engaged in. I had affairs. I cheated.”
Woods said he won’t get into the details of his behavior — publicly anyway — saying recent news reports were inaccurate and intrusive. “For the sake of my family, please leave my wife and kids alone,” Woods said.
He said he has been in therapy for issues he has been facing. He said he has a long way to go but is taking the first steps in the right direction.
