Top Three Must See Games While You’re Snowed In

So I’m guessing you most likely spent your entire Saturday outside building a snowman, sledding behind a truck, or possibly even making yellow snow. Regardless of what you were doing, tonight you will want to be inside and nestled in-front of your television to catch Saturday night’s “Top Three Must-See Games.”

Number 3: Georgia Bulldogs vs. South Carolina Gamecocks (-7) 6:00 p.m.:

In this match-up between SEC Eastern Division opponents, we’ll see if South Carolina (12-8) can stay hot after downing No. 1-ranked Kentucky in Columbia, 68-62, on Tuesday. If you care about neither team, you won’t want to miss Gamecock guard, Devin Downey. One of the leading candidates for SEC Player of the Year, Downey is averaging 22.4 points per game after dropping 30 on the ‘Cats. The ‘Dawgs (9-9) sport hot shooting forward, Trey Thompson, who is 19-of-25 from the field in his past two games, including 5-of-6 from 3-point range.

Number 2: Atlanta Hawks vs. Orlando Magic (-6) 6:05 p.m.:

Former Razorback and 2010 All-Star, Joe Johnson, leads the red-hot Hawks (30-15) into Orlando with his 21.4 points per game average. Atlanta has won four of their last five games including a 100-91 win to sweep the season series over the Boston Celtics for the first time since the 1998-1999. The defending Eastern Conference Champions will be ready to protect their home court with All-Star Dwight Howard averaging a double-double with 17 points and 13 rebounds per game. The Magic (30-16) are also boasting an impressive 17-4 mark while at home.

Number 1: #2 Kansas Jayhawks (-4.5) vs. #13 Kansas State Wildcats 6:00 p.m. ESPN:

We’re finally to our top game of the night, and rightfully so. ESPN’s College GameDay was in Mahattan, Kan. this morning to break the game down, and there will certainly be plenty of purple in the stands to yell for the Wildcats. Although on the road, Kansas (19-1) is a former number one ranked team before their only loss of the season at Tennessee.  Both teams are scoring well over 80 points a game so this could be a high-scoring affair between the in-state rivals. Expect big time play from the Jayhawks’ Sharon Collins (15.5 ppg) and big man Cole Aldrich (10.3 rpg) along with the Wildcats’ Jacob Pullen (19.2 ppg). Be sure to check this game out because you’re sure to see these teams come mid-March.

Enjoy!
