LIVE From Alabama (11-5, 1-1) vs. Arkansas (7-9, 0-1)

12:26 p.m.– Bobby Petrino just concluded his end of the year press conference about 10 minutes ago, and we’re about 20 minutes away from tip-off here at Bud Walton Arena. Be sure to follow the blog for LIVE updated through today’s Arkansas Razorback game against the Alabama Crimson Tide.

12:32 p.m.- The starting lineups are in. For the Hogs it will be Michael Washington, Courtney Fortson, Marcus Britt, Marshawn Powell and Rotnei Clarke. The change is Britt starting for Jamel Farmer in today’s game.

12:35 p.m.- Players to watch for Alabama are Mikhail Torrance who is average 16 ppg on 52.8% shooting and their big inside guy, JaMychal Green, averaging 15.1 ppg and seven boards per.

12:41 p.m.- The Razorback football team is hosting 13 recruits and they enter the arena as we’re set for tip-off.

12:47 p.m.- Alabama gets the tip, but 0 for 2 on first two possessions after Michael Washington takes a charge.

12:49 p.m.- It’s LOUD in Bud Walton Arena as Hogs go on a 6-0 run. Powell with two layups then one by Rotnei Clarke on the inbounds by the Tide. Timout Alabama.

12:51 p.m.- Early technical foul on Alabama head coach Anthony Grant. Clarke nails both free throws. A three pointer by Little Rock native Anthony Brock for Alabama, makes it 8-5 Arkansas.

12:54 p.m.- Powell has eight points early and he takes a rest as Jamel Farmer enters the game.

12:56 p.m.- Timeout on the floow and with 15:30 to play in the first half, the Hogs have a 10-9 lead.

12:58 p.m. The Tide take their first lead of the game at the 15 minutes mark but then a layup by Glen Bryant puts the Hogs back on-top 12-11.

1:03 p.m.- Arkansas plays tough defense and the Tide step out of bounds with five seconds left on the shot clock. Arkansas still trails 18-12.

1:07 p.m.- STAT UPDATED: Marshawn Powell has eight points on 3-of-3 shooting from the field and 2-for-2 from the charity stripe.

1:09 p.m.- Hogs cut the lead to 18-17 after a three by Clarke and a driving layup by Courtney Fortson.

1:12 p.m.- Arkansas is 8-of-13 from the free throw line and now lead 19-18 after two free ones by Michael Washington.

1:15 p.m.- After a Rotnei Clarke three, Tide go on a 5-0 run, now lead 27-22 with seven minutes left in the first half.

1:17 p.m.- Alabama’s leading scorer, Mikhail Torrence, will head to the bench after picking up his second foul of the game. Washington was there to take the charge and Alabama leads 27-22 with 6:47 left in the first half.

1:19 p.m.- Rebound my Marshawn Powell, outlet to Rotnei Clarke who makes a tremendous behind-the-back dribble, then the dish to Michael Washington for the SLAM! Hogs trail 27-24 w/ 4:46 to go.

1:22 p.m.- Not sure what has happened since Thursday’s game at Mississippi State but Arkansas has come to play some defense today. Alabama has been forced to take late shots as the shot clock is winding down on them. However, Alabama still leads 27-26 with 3:50 to play in the first half.

1:28 p.m.- A jumper by Courtney Fortson give the Hogs the lead again, 28-27, with two minutes to play in the first half. However, two free throws by Senario Hillman puts the Tide back on top, 29-28.

1:30 p.m.- An “And 1” by Washington ties the game at 31, but he sinks the free throw giving the lead back to Arkansas, 32-21.

1:32 p.m.- Alabama’s Charvez Davis drains a three allowing the Tide to take the lead back, 34-32. Hogs turn the ball over and ‘Bama calls a timeout and will have the last shot of the first half.

1:34 p.m.- It’s halftime and Alabama leads 34-32. Stat Update: Marshawn Powell and Rotnei Clarke lead the Hogs with eight points each. Alabama’s Mikhail Torrence leads all scorers with nine points.

1:51 p.m.- Teams trade buckets as we’re back for the second half. 36-34 in favor of the Tide now.

1:55 p.m.- Pelphrey using time during this timeout to get explanation from the referee after Clarke was hit in the nose causing some bleeding. Hogs now have a 40-36 lead with 16:46 to go.

2:05 p.m.- Clarke is back in the game now, and Bama goes on a quick 5-0 run and John Pelphrey calls timeout. Arkansas leads, 45-44, with 13:30 to play in the game.

2:11 p.m.- Senario Hillman has been ejected from the game after a flagrant foul on Rotnei Clarke. Clarke nails one of the free thrown and Arkansas leads 48-46 with 12 minutes to play. This place went crazy with boos as Hillman walked off the floor.

2:13 p.m. – Bud Walton Arena is going crazy as Arkansas had extended their lead to 51-46.

2:17 p.m.- Clarke drains a three to put the Hogs ahead, 56-50, with 8:50 to play in the game.

2:23 p.m.- With a timeout on the floor and Hogs up 58-52, here’s a fun stat for ya! Senario Hillman is the first player to be ejected from Bud Walton Arena since Darian Townes and Marcus Lewis of Oral Roberts were back in 2007.

2:27 p.m.- Michael Washington has record the 17t double-double of his career with 11 points and 11 rebounds thus far in this game… Timeout Arkansas, they lead 58-52.

2:29 p.m.- Rotnei Clarke is 3-of-6 from three-point range while his teammates are a mere 1-of-11.

2:31 p.m.- Arkansas has pushed it to their largest lead of the afternoon, 62-52, with 3:40 to play in the game.

2:36 p.m.- Clarke comes off the screen, catches, and drains a three-pointer. Showing shades of what J.J. Redick used to do for Duke.  Hogs lead 65-52, and Clarke leads all scorers with 17 points, 4-of-7 from long range.

2:40 p.m. – Arkansas caps a 21-8 run following the ejection of Hillman with a SLAM by Marshawn Powell, he has 16 points, and the Hogs are closing out their first SEC win of the season. Arkansas leads 69-59, with 45 seconds to play.

2:43 p.m.- Alabama 59 Arkansas 71 FINAL.
