Online media is changing. Journalism is changing. Journalism is heading online and everyone is able to post online. Monitoring online content is critical. Matthew Waite said “sometimes you just have to turn the comments off.” Conan Gallaty said “we have an interesting way of dealing with repeat offenders- turn their comments off so only they can see themselves.” Recieved a laugh out of everyone in attandance.

As far as censoring himself Waite said that if his mom would be embarrassed he hits the cancel button.

Good point- journalists are becoming their own marketer. Twitter, Facebook, Digg etc are the best friends of a journalist. Use these tools is something that regular marketing just can’t compete with.
